In the new year, many of us make resolutions to better ourselves for the new journeys to come. A popular one is to get fit or go on a new diet, a personal one of mine was to become more Zen. This is a combination of the two and more, a new lifestyle. In order to get in touch with my inner self and be more at peace during the rest of this rigorous school year ahead, I plan to consume a more plant based diet in order to consume healthier foods that benefit my body. I also plan to get into a routine workout regimen that will help me take my mind off school. A lifestyle change is an opportunity for a fresh start, which means a fresh new wardrobe. Yes, in order to be Zen, one does not focus on material things but I’m just getting the hang of things. A yogis wardrobe is filled with beautiful, bohemian pieces and sleek yoga outfits. Which means you get to hit up Free People (I’m not making a ton of money at the moment so technically the sale or Free People at Nordstrom Rack) for your day to day clothes and for those early morning yoga sessions, you an take a visit to Athleta. A lifestyle and style change will hopefully help me see more positivity in the new year and gain a better understanding for the good things in life.
