Nike has found lasting successful through giving serious and consistent attention to three foundational pieces of their brand: Product, Endorsements, and Culture. This week, Nike announced that it would release a Pro Hijab for female Muslim athletes in spring 2018. Nike’s new hijab is designed to make sport more comfortable for Muslim women. The hijab will come in gray, black, and obsidian. Nike had been developing the new sporting hijab for a year. They had a group test it that Zahra Lari, the first figure skater from the United Arab Emirates to compete internationally; Amna Al Haddad, an Olympic weight lifter from the United Arab Emirates.
I love how Nike decided they want to embrace the sports needs for Muslim female athletes with this hijab. A lot of young girls now will have women to look up to. That’s it for today!
