The Royal Wedding: All About Meghan’s Dress

On Saturday, May 19, 2018, American star Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan, who has been married before, chose a more subtle dress compared to Princess Kate’s wedding dress; although the diamond crown she wore still made a huge impact. Meghan’s dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The plain, white silk dress was simple but elegant. She wore a long, intricate veil that was 16 feet long. The crown Meghan wore was chosen out of the Queen’s collection and was made in 1932. The tiara has a long history and was worn by many royals in the past. Meghan has already made a huge impact at her wedding and most assume she will continue to do so in her new role of Duchess of Sussex. (GR2)
